Aircrew Survival Egress Knife. The 1095 Carbon Steel Blade is .1875" thick and is 5" in length. Hardness is Rc 50-54 with a zinc phosphate finish to inhibit rust. Serrated edge and sawtooth on spine adds to the usefulness of this knife. One piece molded handle with spear holes. Handle molded over guard and serves as an insulator. This system is a Survival/Egress Knife with Plexiglas Breaker, Hammer, Saw teeth, serrations, spear holes, lanyard hole and insulated guard. It comes with an anodized aluminum strap cutter to cut webbings, cord, cloth, etc. It has a screwdriver and a honing rod to keep your knife field sharp. The fire retardant scabbard fits on the pilot's vest, load bearing equipment or can be worn on the calf as designed for "Air Warrior". The strap cutter fits in the left leg pocket on flight suits or can be stowed behind the knife in the sheath and is a must for medical crews. Butt cap can be used as a hammer and has a lanyard hole. Knife fits snugly into the Nylon sheath with Kydex® insert and has 2 leg protectors with straps. Manufactured in accordance with U.S. government specifications. Measures overall 10¼".
