Aircrew Survival Egress Knife with Plexiglas Breaker, Hammer, Saw teeth, serrations, spear holes, lanyard hole and insulated guard. The 1095 Carbon Steel Blade (hardness Rc 50-54) with zinc phosphate finish, to inhibit rust, is .1875" thick and 5" in length with a serrated edge and sawtooth on the spine to tackle your toughest cutting jobs, a one piece molded handle with spear holes, a butt cap with a lanyard hole that can be used as a hammer, plus a handle molded over the guard that serves as an insulator. It comes with an anodized aluminum strap cutter, a must for medical crews, that you can fit in the left leg pocket of flight suits or stow behind the knife in the sheath to give you convenient and reliable cutting of webbings, cord, cloth, etc. The Survival/Egress Knife System also includes a screwdriver and a honing rod to keep your knife field sharp. The survival knife fits snugly into the Nylon sheath (available in OD and Army Digital) with Kydex® insert, and has 2 leg protectors with straps, plus the fire retardant scabbard fits on the pilot's vest or load bearing equipment, or can be worn on the calf as designed for "Air Warrior".
