CDV-717 Radiological Survey Meter
This portable monitoring instrument measures gamma radiation dose rates of 1 MR to 500 R and consists of three case sections; top section contains the adjustment knobs, handle, dose rate meter outside and the circuitry inside; bottom section consists of the Ion chamber and storage of the 25' of cable; center section joins top and bottom sections into a hand-held field survey instrument and makes electrical connection between the top and bottom. The unit is powered by one "D" size battery (not included) and will operate continuously for over 150 hours. Housed in a die cast aluminum three part case with a cast cantilever handle keyed and bolted into place. Measures 9"L x 4½"W x 7"H. The best part of this meter is the 25' remote cable, which allows outside readings without exposure to fallout and or radiation when used in a shelter application. Instruction book included.
