Genuine Chinese Military surplus from the 60’s. In those days China was not the fabric producer of today so these handy shoulder bags were actually made from military canvas tank covers and rifle sling canvas webbing. Chairman Mao insisted on his image displayed on the bag and from his writings he added a phrase that translates “Serve the People”. A great piece of history or an upbeat fashion statement.
