M7 Bayonet and Scabbard - NSN: 1095-00-017-9701
The M7 bayonet entered the U.S. military with the M16 in 1964. Compatible for mounting on M16 series rifles, M4 Carbine and pre-ban AR15 rifles. The 6¾" long blade is .187" thick with a tapered point it is constructed of 1095 carbon steel with a non-reflective black zinc phosphate finish. One edge is sharpened its full length while the opposing side has approximately 3 inches sharpened. The molded handle have non-slip grips made of high impact black plastic. The steel parts have a uniform dark grey/black parkerized finish. The scabbard has a metal belt clip and leg tie. Manufactured in accordance with U.S. government specifications. Measures overall 11⅞". Weighs .60 lbs.
