Shipping Policy

All orders of in stock items are processed and shipped upon receipt. You will be notified of any items that are not in stock for shipment; this may be either Back-Ordered or Discontinued, etc . Normal processing time is 1-3 business days and delivery via FedEx is generally 1-6 business days depending on your delivery address. Transit times may be calculated by visiting www.fedex.com and entering an originating zip code of 90248. Regular shipping rates are calculated based on the weight of all items, and the dimensions of the box(es) being shipped. A street address is required for us to ship via FedEx. For Post Office Boxes and military bases we must ship via U.S. Mail. Charges may vary. Please allow up to 6-8 weeks for delivery of all U.S. mail shipments, which include but are not limited to HI, AK, Canada, PR, APO's, FPO's and P.O. boxes. Postage may vary. NOTE: On overweight or oversized items, an additional Heavy Weight Surcharge may be added to the price.

International Orders

We ship to the USA, her outlying territories, and Canada. We are not accepting international orders outside North America at this time. We require a credit card issued by a U.S. bank or institution and would prefer a United States Shipping address

Large/Heavy Orders

Orders deemed too large or too heavy for standard shipping will be subject to shipment via truck. A customer service representative will contact you with a freight quote. All truck shipments must gain final customer approval before leaving our facilities. Taxes: California residents WITHIN Los Angeles County are charged 9.00% sales tax on all non-food items, California residents OUTSIDE Los Angeles County are charged 7.50% sales tax on all non-food items. All Residents of states other than California are not charged sales tax.

It may be necessary for us to substitute an item with one of equal or greater value that may vary somewhat from our catalog description.

ATTENTION CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: California's Proposition 65 entitles California consumers to special warnings for products that contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm if those products expose consumers to such chemicals above certain threshold levels. We care about our customer's safety and hope the information below helps with your buying decisions.

The general Proposition 65 notice is as follows: WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Restricted Items: It is the sole responsibility of the customer to check with local authorities on the purchase of pepper spray, stun guns, knives, swords, and machetes as well as any other potentially harmful articles offered for sale. Buyer is to ascertain and comply with all applicable local, state and federal laws regarding possession and use of these items. By placing an order, buyer represents that they are of legal age and will use items only in a legal and lawful way.

We are forbidden by law to export any of the following items: Gas Masks, Gas mask filters, chemical suits, handcuffs, pepper spray, stun guns, inert hand grenades, night vision equipment, ammo magazines or fuels (solid or liquid).

California Restricted Items: Gas cans without an automatic shutoff device and ballistic helmets.

Federal Trade Commission Warnings: The FTC Act requires that health and safety-related claims, such as claims that a gas mask, respirator or protective clothing can protect against contaminants, including NBC (nuclear, biological, and chemical) contaminants, must be supported by competent and reliable scientific evidence. Major Surplus and Survival makes no claims as to the effectiveness of any of the gas masks, respirators, or protective clothing it sells. The Military Surplus items we sell are just that, Military Surplus. We cannot claim their effectiveness. We only state that they are true Military Surplus and the basic condition the items are in. On non-surplus items, such as the Scott M-95 gas mask, Major Surplus only states that these items are newly manufactured and the manufacturer claims the effectiveness of any protection. These manufacturers have shown us, Major Surplus, test results. We cannot, in any way, supply interpretations of said test results. We can provide a copy of the test results provided to us upon request.

Furthermore, any claims an item meets and or exceeds Military Standards (DOD) is based on the manufacturers claim to us. Major Surplus has no means to scientifically prove or disprove such claims.

Return Policy

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it to us within 30 days of receipt for a refund, replacement or credit. Our return procedure is easy and hassle-free. Each order is mailed with a Return Form. There is no need to call, just fill out the form and mail it along with a copy of your postage receipt, a copy of the invoice and the unwanted item. For your protection please insure the package. If the return is because we made a mistake, we will reimburse your surface shipping costs or send out a Call Tag; however, this is at Discretion of Major Surplus. Please use US Mail Parcel Post or FedEx Ground ONLY when returning product(s). Express Services (such as 3 Day or FedEx 2 Day) will NOT be refunded. We do not reimburse for special handling, charges incurred by using other mail facilities such as Mail Box Etc... If your replacement item is in stock, it should reach you in 2-3 weeks (Note: food items, gas masks, disaster preparedness items, books & videos are not returnable.) Privacy Policy

MajorSurplus.com is committed to protecting our customers' personal information. All orders are transmitted in an encrypted format. To be sure that your order is secure, simply check your Web browser while you are in the ordering section. Most browsers use some sort of symbol to alert you to the fact that you are on a secured Website. For example, icons - either a padlock or a key - in the bottom left-hand corner that appear when the site is secured.

We will store your shipping and billing information if you create an account with us, but this information will not be used by anyone but MajorSurplus.com as described below in our privacy policy.

At checkout, we require the credit card customer identification number (CIN) with every online purchase made with American Express, MasterCard and Visa Cards. The CIN is a 3 or 4 digit, numeric value that provides a cryptographic check of the information embossed on the card. This security feature is designed to protect you against consumer fraud. Your CIN will not be stored or maintained on any of our systems and you will need to provide the number every time a purchase is made on MajorSurplus.com.

At MajorSurplus.com, we are committed to providing excellent customer service and outstanding value in retail merchandise while respecting and protecting the privacy of our customers. To better serve you, we may collect and maintain certain information regarding, for example, your product and service preferences, dates of special occasions related to people you buy gifts for (e.g., birthdays), and billing and shipping information. 1. What information does MajorSurplus.com collect from our online customers?

For those individuals who visit our site but do not make a purchase, we collect and store IP ("Internet Protocol") addresses during the visit. No individualized information is collected, and the IP address is not traced to a particular individual. Similarly, we collect information, using that IP address, about the navigational or browsing activities of our visitors. Again, that information is not tied to any name or other personally identifying information but is used solely to provide generalized demographic data, such as what geographic areas our visitors are from and visitor browsing patterns. We cannot use that data to identify you. For those who make a purchase on MajorSurplus.com, in order to fulfill the order, we collect and store your name, address, shipping information, email address, purchase data, and billing information.

2. Does MajorSurplus.com use "cookies"?

"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Currently, if you place an item in a shopping basket during your visit to MajorSurplus.com, we will create a cookie containing a unique customer number on your computer. This function enables us to store items in your shopping cart until you make a purchase. 4. How is the information MajorSurplus.com collects stored and what security procedures do we have in place to protect the confidentiality of that information?

Currently, the MajorSurplus.com customer information that we maintain is stored in our internet database and in our corporate customer database. We limit access to that information to those within our organization with a business need to know. Most of our employees do not have access to that information. In addition, we enforce a policy against unauthorized disclosure or use of the information you share with us, and we instruct our employees concerning that policy. Those employees that do have access are required to abide by our privacy policy. We also require that those third parties who provide services to us and may have access to customer information (such as data collection, storage and reporting services and mail vendors) share our commitment to maintaining your privacy and adhere to our company's nondisclosure requirements. As stated above, we do not under any circumstances sell or rent customer information to any outside company or organization nor do we permit any such organization to use customer information for its own business purposes.

In fact, we will release specific information about you only if we are compelled to do so to comply with valid legal processes such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order or in the unlikely situation where we, in good faith, believe such information is necessary to prevent harm to you or others.

We use secure server technology to keep your personal information - including your billing and account information - as secure as possible. Once your information is stored on our database, we have database security technologies and procedures in place to protect it from access by unauthorized employees or third parties.

5. How does MajorSurplus.com protect the safety and privacy of children?

Our site is not directed or marketed to children under the age of 18. We do not intentionally collect or store information on children. If we learn that a child has made a purchase from MajorSurplus.com without his or her parent's consent, we immediately, upon parental request, void the sale and refund any monies collected on the return of the merchandise.

We may change or enhance our policy to improve our service to you. If we do change our policy, we will note those changes on our Website. A message will be displayed on our home page for a period of time that a change has been made, and the change will be highlighted within the privacy policy.
